Although Morocco is just a couple of hours away from Spain by ferry, culturally, this Islamic nation is very different from Europe
in spite of 44 years of French and Spanish colonial rule. Morocco is considered an Arab country; however, much of the population of Morocco are
actually Berbers.
Journey through this unique cultural portal and truly meet the people. There will be an interactive forum in Rabat between our group
and the local muslims, facilitated by Farah Cherif/director of Center for Cross-cultural Learning. The tour includes visits to Casablanca, Rabat,
Fes, Marrakesh, visits to several villages to meet the Berbers, and a closing retreat at Essaouira, a coastal town.
